PILAR GARCÍA FERRER
"Since I was a kid I have always been interested in plastic and visual arts. I started my studies of Architecture at Alcalá de Henares University in 2009 after a stay in Yale University (USA). During this stage, I discovered new techniques that led me to attend a course of Photography and Digital Design at Saint Martins School of Arts in London."
This approach to digital techniques was key in the collage technique I currently use. In 2015, I studied at Pontificia Católica University in Lima where I designed cooperation projects and spent time traveling.
Inspired by Peru’s nature, I started doing artistic compositions with collage technique. This experience meant the ultimate expansion of my horizons.
In parallel to this process I began my career in Architecture working in some studios such as Archid, Chesa&Mena or StudioGronda, where I currently work.
On a personal level, I consider myself an inveterate music lover with a really personal and pure sense of aesthetic and beauty. I am an art and nature lover and a truly admirer of feminine beauty. My collages are a natural combination of all of these.

My style is quite eclectic. In my wardrobe you can find 80’s clothes, classic pieces, modern dresses. I like to wear comfortably and with flattering pieces. High waist trousers are my weakness.
If you would have to run away from your apartment, what would you grab?
My hard discs with all my work and my parents’ old albums.
What is your favourite place in the world?
Surf beaches in Perú.
What did you want to be when you were a child?
Painter, architect, inventor and “boss”. All together.
